1st Camp Out of 2007

In all my Poison excitement, I forgot to blog about another exciting time - the CAMP OSTO CAMP OPENER! I mean that is what this stinkin' blog is supposed to be all about!

Last Thursday we spent the night with the kids. Tyler caught 5 snakes! (Matt was freaked out). Matt took the kids fishing and caught some big bass. We had a great dinner on the grill, made a super camp fire, roasted marshmallows and watched the stars. We looked for the space shuttle and the space station which were supposed to be orbiting overhead, but I think it passed before it got dark enough to see. We did finally see a million stars and told stories about how Matt and I met and we danced to our favorite songs.
After the concert, we headed back to camp on Saturday. We did a quick 45 minute tube ride, the kids played at the beach and we hit the local bar for the best pizza around. We decided to pack it in when 2 out of 3 were sleeping in the car on the way home from the bar. All in all, it was a perfect start to our summer.

The biggest snake catch - from inside the shed!

Chooch thinks all the world's a potty up north!

T-Bird with a nice catch.

At the fishin' hole...

Every Rose Has Its Thorn...

In case you forgot how big the hair was...
Or how much make up they wore...
Or how they looked "prettier" than all the girls...

The countdown is on....to POISON!

School's out for Summer!

My kids have been out of school for 6 days. They are already driving each other (and me) crazy. How can this be? What am I going to do when it is July? ugh........
Baseball wrapped up last week. I'm glad that is over. Now we are on to swimming.

Looking foward to a quick stop by Camp Osto this Friday to check on my new (old) truck, mow the lawn and play for a little while. I'll bet the river is still chilly.

I got a call about an "impromtu" 15 year class reunion to be held at a bar in my old town. I'm not sure about this. It is weird to have a voice on the answering machine that I haven't heard from, nor really thought about in 15 years! How did they find me? Scary. I skipped the 10 year. Maybe I'll wait for the 20. I don't know if I am ready for all that measuring up. Maybe...

10 Years

Today is my 10 year wedding anniversary. It is hard to believe 10 years have gone by, so much has happened. It seems like just yesterday we met on a blind date at Make Believes, stole our first kiss in the doorway at Kales (what a romantic beginning!) and then I see our 3 kids! I love our family, our kids, our home, our life.

Happy Anniversary, Matt!

Happy Birthday to the boys!

Happy Birthday to our late May and June birthday boys. The Osto clan celebrated Chooch, Mike, Mark and T-Bird on Sunday. We planned a pool party, but it was mostly a rain out until about 4:30 when the kids and Aunt Minnie hit the pool.

The Osto brothers, circa 1977...gotta love the plaid pants!
Thanks to Joe for the "vintage" shots!

Dance Recital

Saturday was Cal's dance recital. She shimmied and shook her little heart out and we all loved it! She danced to a tune by the Baha Men called "Best Years of our Lives".
