Spring, it finally arrived

In Michigan sometimes we still have snow until May. Last week we had some flurries, but this weekend, it seems we've finally found our spring. The evidence is in the earth - the tulips, daylillies, irises, and sedum are popping up. The trees are getting buds. The birds have returned in full force to awake me at daybreak with their twitterpating.

We spent Saturday cleaning up the yard and the majority of today cleaning out the garage. Of course, there were lots of other "to dos" on the list, but they will have to wait for another day. Kids riding bikes, puppies chasing a soccer ball, warm runs without heavy clothes, and a nap in the sunshine all had their place today too.

Ahhh spring, what took you so long!?!
